Levy, Moses Elias
(1782-1854)
   American settler. Born in Mogador, Morocco, his father converted to Islam and settled in England. He worked on a sailing ship travelling to the West Indies. He disembarked at St Thomas in the Caribbean and engaged in the lumber business. He purchased land in Florida. In 1821 he went to Saint Augustine as a colonizer.
